Mary Queen of Scots

Despite the association with the above Craigmillar Castle is Edinburgh's least known tourist attraction.
It has been used for many a film production, and was much liked by Mary who stayed there when it was owned by the Prestonfield family.The guide book asks you to look across what was then fields (1561 ish) and imagine the good Queen riding towards Holyrood Palace in the morning.
