something wicked
A man on the phone on the train home:
'You know what Davy. I tell you what Davy, I hope we can put this behind us Davy. At the end of the day Davy, I want no hard feelings Davy. I know I was a wee bit rash Davy but he needs to be on a leash Davy. He keeps his eye on the ball Davy - he's a good wee soul Davy, a hard worker Davy but he ran across the road Davy. If he gonna play wi traffic Davy, honestly, and I was raging Davy, f***ing raging Davy. Ah put him on his leash Davy. He didnae like it one bit Davy, but he's gotta learn Davy. He's been sulking Davy. He turnt his back on me Davy, I don't want any bad feelings Davy but he's got to learn Davy. He's gotta get over it Davy, I know I was hard but what could I do Davy, if he's gonna play with traffic Davy. He turnt his back on me, Davy, got his wee ball in front of him Davy, in between his paws Davy. He's a good dug Davy, but when he's got a ball Davy there's nothing else in his head Davy. But I just want no bad feelings Davy. At the end of the day he's gotta be kept on the leash Davy. All water under the bridge Davy.'
I think he may have been drinking. And as for Davy, if he hadn't, I bet he wished he had. I certainly wished I had. All the way home.
