Still waiting
I'm visiting Dockey Woods regularly so that I can catch the splendour of a carpet of blue beneath a canopy of green, joined by the bare tree trunks. My last visit a week ago gave me hope that this could be the week, but the cold weather has really slowed everything down. Buds are starting to appear on the trees but most of the bluebells have yet to start to send their flower stem upwards. I'll return again soon.
The surrounding countryside is developing well with the promise of blankets of yellow rape interspersed with green crops. When they have matured a bit more, I'll visit Ivinghoe Beacon and try to get some landscape panoramas.
Patience is not one of my virtues.
