First star at dusk
I trundled out into the garden, feeling a bit rubbish, as it got dark and harrumphed at the dog's insistence on coming with me and thinking it was playtime when it clearly was not. 'Do I look like I'm here to have fun?' I asked him.
This is the rather unimpressive little Magnolia Stellata that we have in our garden. It is incredibly short and is slow to get flowering every year - due the fact that the place I decided to plant it is in the shade.
Many years from now it will reach the sun.
One day.
Maybe.
I had a bit of half human/half crooked jelly wearing moon-boots with a brain made of sawdust lemonade day today.
You know the feeling.
Well someone out there does. There's always someone
