Still waiting ....

This fine lamp-post is one of several similar ,well maintained, wood ones lining a road in an unused science park. The grounds are landscaped with lots of native trees, planted when the park was built over 10 years ago, paths, ponds and scupltures. There is one large, unused building and a plot for another one. I don't know why the building has never been used, but it would have been better if the money that went into it and is still needed to maintain the grounds had not been spent needlessly. However, it did provide a good route for the short walk this morning.

I'm no longer waiting for our visitor this weekend. She has arrived and we went to have a look at the Lost Garden of Penicuik. The weekend is off to a good start!
