Engineering Undergraduate of the Year 2012

Today I was in Canary Wharf for the Engineering Undergraduate of the Year award 2012, run by E.ON and TargetJobs. Unsurprisingly I didn't win, considering I'd already turned the job down, but we were in the East Wintergarden which is a really cool building! The day started at 12pm with a champagne reception (with a string quartet) followed by a three course gourmet dinner with unlimited wine, then the award ceremony by Michael Portillo and a few free drinks at a bar in Canary Wharf courtesy of E.ON. All in all a good day for free things! This is the view from All Bar One down the Thames to The Shard, it was one of those days where it rained and then was sunny a lot (and was frozen fog when I left the house) so a bit odd.
