A tranquil place called ...

The plan was to go to the zoo, to potentially see pandas, but in the best tradition of our family we didn't quite find the time to have it as planned out as we would have liked. Normally I think we are quite good at this sort of gig, sandwiches at the ready, wellies and coats if needed. Today however we were in holiday mode and we didn't leave until it was too late, a) to see thepandas and b) as we discovered on our arrival to visit a mob free zoo. It looked like it was absolutely hoaching.

So we opted for solution 2, the Botanical Gardens and for once, it was nigh on empty, well no Sunday crowds for sure.

A very good second best in anyone's book.

The afternoon was spent getting a weekly shop and pottering around. In the evening I watched a Star Wars film with the girls. A grand night in.
