Pyramid of Menkaure
Surely we can't go all the way to Egypt without having to visit one of the world's greatest wonders. Another hot day, swealtering 40c heat out in the open visting the pyramids - we were a bot sticky.
This shot is of the Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest of the Giza pyramids. It was fantastic to see all the pyramids here, we even went into one of them through a tiny corridor which was just over a metre high.
One of the best days out I think. It was only a little spoilt by the locals pestering us. They wanted to help us take photos of us using our own cameras oviously wanting a tip for their services. The tour guide told us not to participate, but some of them didn't take no for an answer very well. I just started to ignore them after a while, just walking away from them.
The pyramids are definetely a must see, but going into them isn't that special. You just go down a narrow shaft and at the end of it is just a small room, thats it. But at least we can say we've seen and been into one!
