MEAD!
This is my first attempt at making this heavenly libation known as mead. Simple ingredients, 3 for just a traditional mead (honey, water, yeast), but I added an orange (rind and all) to make a melomel mead. Time, lots and lots of time. Out of site out of mind might be the best approach here as I will be tempted to get into before its time. Next time I will look around for a different yeast and a local, raw honey instead of the commercially produced "grocery store" honey. But this is just a first attempt, so I am not expecting a world class mead or anything, just something sweet and yummie to drink. If it works, I will use 5 gallon container next time instead of a 1 gallon. The hard part about trial and error in this is the waiting, at least 2 months per batch. I hope its worth the wait.
