In the end, the result was close... but not for me. The work sweepstake gave me Synchronised - which wanted to escape before the race, and had even worse news afterwards. Most of my money at the bookies was on Shakalakaboomboom (just for the name). Even the small bet e/w on Seabass didn't recover the losses.
