Hibs 2 -1 Aberdeen :: Dream Team

Hibernian's strike partners Leigh Griffiths and Garry O'Connor picked the right day for their partnership to click into gear at the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden today. Classy strikes three minutes into the game (O'Connor) and six minutes from time (Griffiths) were sufficient to defeat a misfiring Aberdeen and take the Leith team into the Cup Final next month.

The goals - and an emotional day out in Glasgow - were also enough for most most of the faithful travelling supporters to forgive and forget an undeniably painful season, and more than a few misdemeanours from the two goal-scorers. The fact that both are staunch Hibees themselves did give the afternoon a romantic sheen.
