Stoking the fire

Just before 3pm and the fireman is loading coal into the firebox of GWR 3802 ready for departure from Llangollen for Carrog.

This was the 3rd trip of the day. As volunteer TTI (Traveling Ticket Inspector) I'd seen good numbers travelling on the first two runs, with slightly fewer on the last run. Weather was mixed too; sunny first run, cloudy second run and showers by the third run.

Chatted to some interesting people travelling today.
