Whatever was said didn't work - Gloucester were beaten at home by Newcastle - very disappointing - Newcastle are playing for their future in the Premiership and it was clear their players want red the win more than Gloucester.

I'd won a chance to choose a mascot for the day and as my daughter was too old we invited my old boss and friend Adam Henson to be our guest and his son Alfie to be mascot for the day. Besides the loss we all had a brilliant day and it was great to meet a lot of old friends in the 1873 Club Lounge.
