No Smoking?

Well no, this is one place where smoking is positively encouraged. The view here is of Arbroath Harbour. Arbroath being famous for several things, but maybe two in particular. The Declaration of independence, the declaration being to the effect that essentially it is better to be dead than English. The other reason it is famous is more recent and politically more acceptable, being smoking.

To be honest over on this side of the harbour I did not notice too much smoking, but I am sure it was going on not far away. Today I did not buy any Smokies, but I have been known to do so in the past. I remember Delia Smith extolling the virtues of Arbroath Smokies a while back on one of her programs, and now the denomination of "Arbroath Smokies" is protected under EU legislation, to be called "Arbroath" the smokie must in fact come from Arbroath.

Today on the weather front we had it all, sunshine, rain, hail and snow. Four or more seasons, one day!
