A regular

We have a large covered stoep (veranda) on which we have, amongst others, a small corner garden with a little pond, also a bbq area with a store place for briquettes, etc, underneath, and no less than 5 drains which catches the dew/rain from the overhead roofs.
In the little pond, we have lots of activity, especially at night time. Frogs mate, lay their eggs and serenade us throughout the night with click-songs.

This fella, no doubt, is master of all, judging by his size. (The size of a hand palm, and fingers).

We place buckets in the drains in order to catch of the rain/dew (remember we had a drought not to long ago!) to water a few plants. An everytime, most likely, the master of all, will be fast asleep underneath one of these buckets.

His family and himself have a lovely place under the bbq, amongst the bags of briquettes and trivia .. here they stay/sleep during the day, mostly to the frustration of the cleaning lady who is terrified by these beauties!

Well, this morning was his chance to become famous. As I am blipping, he is still sitting in his favourite spot .. as the sun goes down, perhaps he will think of joining his family.

I forgot to say that they make droppings the size that will scare a small lion ... Johann is the willing hero to clean up each morning!
