Primroses

These primroses are growing on the verge at the side of the road from Bentpath to Eskdalemuir.

During the morning service at Langholm today, the young folk were thinking about the amazing things that they'd seen recently. One small boy, gently prompted by his mum, said 'Primroses'.

At the door of Eskdalemuir church this afternoon, a member of the congregation stopped to chat. He was formerly a chorister at St Paul's Cathedral in London and at King's College, Cambridge. We spoke of many things including forms of worship. He said he'd learnt to appreciate the simplicity of worship in a small country Presbyterian church. Like primroses, perhaps?
