The odd curiosity shot

Passion 0-1 ill discipline

It's about time football players, managers and pundits in particular, knew the difference between passion and ill discipline. Neil Lennon's actions at the end of the cup semi final were utterly disgusting. Yes, the penalty decision was iffy but until we get robots to referee games, those iffy decisions will remain. I wonder if Lennon mentioned Celtic's offside goal in his post match press conference. I doubt it.

I'm also unsure about the introduction of technology into the game - for goal line decisions, yes, let's do it. For any other decision, no. Pundits watch replays 7-8 times during match intervals and still can't agree on whether it was a penalty/free kick/toys thrown out of the pram moment so why, I ask you, do they think this is the solution?

They need to grow up and accept it. Swings and roundabouts and all that.

And another thing - can you imagine anyone in the world of cricket or rugby behaving like that? They'd be vilified. And rightly so.

Rant over.

Back to school tomorrow. Boo!
