Past Lives
This afternoon we had a fascinating visit to the Verdant Works, it is a former jute mill in the Blackness area of Dundee, Scotland. It was purchased in 1991 by the Dundee Heritage Trust. The Trust restored the buildings and opened them in 1996 as a museum dedicated to textile industry, an industry that once dominated the city's economy.
Stopped off at Cafe Byzantium in Monikie Country Park on the way home for a light lunch and now have the heating on and going to settle down for last night's recording of 'BGT' and 'The Voice'.
Hoping because we had a very late lunch that no-one wants fed later on, as I can feel a lazy afternoon is on the cards for me.
