Lucy's Ears

One of my favourite novelists, the Japanese writer Haruki Murakami, is fascinated with ears. When depicting the characters in his novels, Murakami often includes a detailed description of their ears, paying particular attention to form, lines and any curious anomalies such as a difference in size or position.

Ears are amazing, especially teeny tiny ones, so whilst Lulu was snoozing on the sofa today, I snuck a quick photograph...

'Those small, pink ears of hers looked as though they had been daubed with powder using a soft brush and had just been made a short time ago...' - Haruki Murakami, 1Q84.
