Dark corner ...

...... but not today!

This corner of the High Pond is often too dark to get a good photo and the water is often stagnant, but today it was fresh and still with lovely reflections.

It was lovely, cold but bright, day to show christinePears the joys of the High Pond.

On the water we saw swans, tufted ducks, moorhens, Canada geese, dabchicks and mallards - one female with nine chicks.

We also saw some green woodpeckers flying between the trees making their distinctive call on our way to the pond.
