What's in a name?

Today has been a very good day.

We were finally able to tell my daughter (who's coming up to 7) from my previous marriage that in October she will become a big sister.

Given the situation, I was a little nervous about how she would react, but I really needn't have worried for a second. She was absolutely delighted!!!

In amongst telling us all the things she would do for the baby (feeding, stories etc.) she found the time to sit and put down a few baby name suggestions.

I'm not ashamed to admit that through a combination of relief and pride at the maturity of my daughter's reaction, I had a tear in my eye.

Like I said: a good day.
