Marietta on the Beach

My family have a bit of an obsession with Marietta biscuits. Anyone who has tasted them will now that the are the plainest of plain biscuits. Growing up, I remember them being brought to life sandwiched together with a dod of butter and jam. They are always in the cupboard in my parents house, serving as a evening snack for anyone and everyone - most importantly the dogs and any grand children that happen to be around! Very good bribing material too for 3 yr olds. Hence that is why they ended up on holiday with us. My parents packed a few packets, I mean you might not find a plain biscuit in Italy!! So they ended up on the beach - turned out to be a nice snack for post swimming too.....
