Open Heart Surgery: Day 5

We're not going home today. Reuben's lung is too full of liquid and it's disconcerting as the intensive respiratory treatments are not helping. Almost the entire left lung on the xray is white when it should be grey. He will require a repeat operating room procedure on Monday to determine the cause. His lungs are a weak spot. It will require going back on the awful ventilator and intubation.

This was Reuben's first venture outside. We took time out in the playroom courtyard to spin some wheels... I want to get him this for his birthday if I can find one used.
