Egg Production

Let me introduce you to my wifes egg laying hareem.
(aka emergency blip time)

I'm not sure what I think about my wife's hens, it's just that quite early on I noticed if I left a nice morsel after dinner to enjoy later - more often than not it had been fed to the little blighters by the time I returned to my stash. (aka jealousy)

Did you know that it takes
7kg of grain to produce 1kg of beef
4kg of grain to produce 1kg of pork
2kg of grain to produce 1kg of chicken
1kg of grain produces 10 chicken eggs

I know that there are plenty of variables to be accounted for here, but discovering that is making me think.
