TAG QUEEN

Today was an interesting day.
Started by lifting some floorboards in order to strengthen the joists underneath - in preparation for a new staircase.
The new staircase duly arrived, and after much tooing and froing managed to get it up and into the house we started to assemble it, and soon found out it was the wrong size.

A few excitable calls and a cancelled cheque later and the manufacturer is getting the blame for making a 6 kite instead of an eight. (Thats the treads which go round the corner).
Turns out the company we got to make the stair, subbed the job onto someone else who made it to the wrong set of drawings. We've got £1800 worth of kindling, the customer has a house with no stair. There's no winner here!
