Graham Coxon

Went along to the Graham Coxon gig tonight. His solo stuff has always been patchy and tonights gig was no different, veering from snotty punk to skewed pop tunes to extended American alternative homages. When it was good it was immense - buzzsaw guitars screeching their way through pop hooks. When it was bad it was boring - sludgy and grungy with over egged solos. The encore set featured 5 songs in the former category so headed home happy.

The highlight of the set was, for me, this little ditty from the new album.
