Relaxation

Today has been awesome!

We're staying at Guesthouse Eyvindará, a very cosy and nice place near Egilsstaðir. When we woke up at 8:30 the weather was brilliant and after breakfast we decided to go north and have a look at Hjaltastaðaþinghá, which is a large (and a bit desolate) area. Of course we stopped quite often and photographed, and one of my favourite places was Hjaltastaður where I've stayed during a summer vacation with my husbands family.
In the afternoon we drove to Reyðarfjörður, Eskifjörður and Norðfjörður.

The picture was taken in Reyðarfjörður, near Fjardaál aluminium smelter. I decided to lay down in the grass and admire the view to the mountain and this lovely old cottage, instead of the big and terribly ugly building of Fjardaál. Sun and fresh air - just the right ingredients for relaxation :o)
