A fine welcome to the Isle of Arran
After arriving in a dark, rainy Glasgow, we caught the train to Ardrossan and the ferry to Brodick on the Isle of Arran. Fully waterproofed, we cycled north to Lochranza. We spotted our first grey seal of the trip off the shore near Brodick. He seemed to wave at us.
The day cleared towards evening after we'd had our first dram at The Arran Malt distillery (a nice whisky, that). We camped at the local campsite and went for an evening walk to the Fairy Dell. The red deer were out in the setting sun. I have quite a few pictures of those, but I chose the seal for the blip.
Here is a pair of rutting stags that I can't help but link to.
