First and Last and Always

My last is someone elses first. Charlie was almost the last to the summit, but he made it, and he made it down again - all by his own efforts. No carries. His brother (8 months) made it most of the way up on his dads back. He was lent out for the descent and endered up with a longer term foster parent than his parents intended. All were reunited in the end. The two that didn't make the party were the ones that tried a direct descent in order to catch the national and ended up with a direct route to the Belford - by helicopter! They are both ok I hear.
