'Power of Now'

Drivers in Glasgow can test and rent electric cars at a new energy centre in the city.

Renewable energy firm SSE's recently opened exhibition in the city centre, 1 Waterloo Street, includes the UK's first dedicated free electric vehicle charging, hiring and parking facility. There are six charging-parking spaces at the permanent site and electric scooters and bikes are also available to rent.

The exhibition, called "Power of Now", aims to demonstrate Scotland's potential in renewable energy through production, design, engineering and manufacturing.
