New Friend!

Today I was out and about on rat business again!

Well, rat business and visiting my friend Beth, who lives in the Welsh valleys. Beth was the one, who some of you will know, had 5 young female rats just before Christmas from someone who had rather carelessly allowed them all to get pregnant - so, she went, almost overnight (starting on Boxing Day) from having 5 pet rats to having 5 pet rats plus 44 tiny babies to rear!

Vulcan, Isaiah and Jeremiah had already come to live with me, but today I went to fetch Valiant (from one of the other girls) and Obadiah (Isaiah's almost twin brother), who were the last to be rehomed and who, owing to now having a larger cage, I could now take!

I set off in the Fiat Monster and had a pretty good journey, except for getting caught in the Cheltenham rush hour owing to a bit of poor navigation on my part, and arrived in what would have been stunning scenery if it wasn't so foggy. Beth pointed out where all the mountains were hiding, and we spent a lovely day drinking tea, eating biscuits, playing with rats, and making friends with all the other animals!

For those of you who think we have a lot of animals - Beth and Mr Beth have 4 dogs, 4 cats, 2 polecats, 1 ferret, 1 hamster, and lots and lots of rats! Excellent! They also have 4 kids (aged between 6 and 16), who are lovely, and arrived back home from school late afternoon.

Tia is one of Beth's 2 Chihuahuas (the other is Gizzie). Both of them made friends with me and sat with me on the sofa, snuggling away - very friendly little ones!

Then it was back home, with Valiant and Obadiah, again encountering traffic through Cheltenham en route!
