Garston Docks
This short row of old dock workers' houses is all that's left of what once was a thriving village and community contained within the Garston Dock complex. At the end of the row (on the LHS of the pic), there is an old chapel, too. Now its all cranes and containers. Progress, I guess, but its a shame to see these very solid houses falling into ruin. Soon, they'll be gone and the last signs of what the docks once were with them.
In a refreshing change to the norm, I was challenged by security when I parked up to take this pic. When I said that I just wanted to take some photos, he said that was fine - carry on. Then he gave me a potted history of the area. How very cool.
