Rain! Glorious rain!

This image sums up the day.

Basically, downpour after downpour, interspersed with bright sunshine.

The kind of bright sunshine which encourages one to ignore the weather forecast and nip out with wet washing, pegs and the like.
And then nip back out again quite shortly to gather in wetter sheets than the ones one pegged out originally.
The more pragmatic amongst us might say this is what radiators are for... (hello my Daughter).

I might have mentioned before that I have always enjoyed rainy days. (Since mixed infant wet play probably, being an unsporty type!). I'm appreciating it more now as we're banned in the hosepipe department and lots of gardeners I know are nursing aching shoulders owing to water-carrying activities :-(
