I actually typed olympics but somehow predictive text thought I was trying to write plinking?

As it is 100 days till the London 2012 Olympic games I felt an Olympic inspired blip was in order. This book belonged to my grandmother who was german. She met my English grandfather while he was serving in ww2 in her home town. As soon as the war was over he arranged for her to come to England. Apart from a few extended holidays she never went back, living out the rest of her days in Liverpool with my grandfather. She was bombed out of several homes in Germany before the war finally came to an end but somehow she managed to hang onto this commemorative book about the 1936 Berlin olympics as well as register office documents for her ancestors going back hundreds of years. One day I'll get round to tracing the family tree in more depth.
