Haihe beach
Holiday backblip- New Zealand- Day 8
Another beautiful sunny day and a quick paddle in the sea before it gets dark.
We left Auckland in the morning with Matt, Jenny, the campervan, a car and a tent for a mini road trip. We were heading for the Coromandel peninsula to a campsite on Matt's favourite beach.
On the way we stopped to do an Easter Egg hunt in a maize maze. It was good fun and we found lots of eggs but a few times we thought we'd still be there on Thursday! We eventually got out alive and after a stop for ice-cream in a nice little seaside village we got to our campsite in time for the boys to have a play in the sea before the sun went down. As soon as we stepped over the dunes and saw the beach I could see why it's Matt's favourite. The coastline round is lovely and there's lots of little islands dotted around. And the sea wasn't too freezing!
