Southlake Hospital Arch & Bridge

I'm under the weather today and had to go up to Southlake Hospital in Newmarket so the arch presented itself as a photo op with the nice blue sky. The bridge spans between the hospital and the clinics across Davis Drive - the main road through town (and which is also known as Highway 9 once outside of town). Southlake recently completed several years of reconstruction and expansion as the regional cancer centre among other things. It's a fine hospital with great doctors who have taken care of me and of family members over the decades. My brother entered the world here and my mother exited it here. Famed comedians and film stars John Candy and Jim Carrey were also born here. Southlake is a recent name change. It was known for ages as York County Hospital.
