Pukeko(Swamp Hen)

Family all returned to Auckland. After taking them to airport I headed out to the wetlands for some R&R with my camera.I really am getting to old for the constant noise of 2 boys under 5!!!!!
I found a large group of Pukeko (?Pukekoes), they were hungry as they ignored me completely. Normally quite skittish, they were happy for me to 'creep' up on them. I actually had a choice for today's blip.....I liked the very small morsel in this fellow's mouth.
