Preparedness

Volunteer firefighters and little kids go together like work and play.

"In an emergency, you've got to be prepared" he explains. "You've got to have your gear on". He goes on to equate his clothing and equipment with Ephesians 6 and the armor of God. My favorite part was his radio...these are like our prayer...when we need help, we have to call out for it.

At the end of his talk, the children prayed for him, and it was beautiful to see his little grandson sidle up next to him and end up covered and protected in his embrace. Something so pure, I just don't have words, the pictures say it all.
