His Majesty's.
Sneaky Blip tonight (according to signs proclaiming "NO RECORDING EQUIPMENT IN THE THEATRE!")... R and I went to see the student show at the His Majesty's this evening. The cast were incredibly talented and the songs were brilliant. The show itself was an "Aberdonian remake" of Mary Poppins; Mary Torphins. Unfortunately I thought the storyline was distinctly lacking in anything except poor jokes about the general rubbishness of Aberdeen Council. I know Aberdeen council have their flaws, but it seemed a little off-side to be putting on a show in a building that is not insubstantially funded by the same council. Just my opinion... I still really enjoyed it for the songs and the acting!
I'd had quite a long day at work today, full of reports, mapping and frantic emailing, so it was lovely to relax in the evening. I'm still dog-sitting for one of the girls at work, and her dog Jess seems to be quite at home at my and M's flat... Even if she makes it look awfully small with her long body and whippy tail (cue crashing vases of tulips and swearing after tripping over 4 extra paws in my kitchen).
Home tomorrow to see my Mum and Dad and little mollydog... Too excited!
