Progress

Tyres on wheels; wheels on bike. Saddle and headlight shell in place.

This is a 1950 James Cadet De Luxe that I have owned since 1973. It was last ridden in the late 1970's and has been lugged around the country with me ever since with the vague promise of a rebuild hovering over it.

Well it is finally getting more of a recommissioning than a rebuild, which means it will carry with it the patina of its age - 62 years of little knocks, dings and scrapes. What history is evidenced by an old object that looks just like a new one?

It's a lovely little bike.
