Red Admiral Butterfly
I was sitting on the patio this afternoon and must have seen a butterfly ....fly past, heading north , about every thirty seconds! Apparently there is a tidal wave of Red Admiral Butterflies heading north from the States, 10 times the normal amount of migration and a month early! It was reported in London Ontario that a man had over ten thousand butterflies in his back yard yesterday! What a sight that must have been! Ed and I saw a tree covered with Monarchs near Lake Ontario on their migration south many years ago, something that I have not forgotten as it was such a beautiful sight!
