Expensive and Long Day!!!
We decided it was a good day to head up to Sydney, which means we make a list, we figure out where and what we need done and we go to our usual chinese place for dinner.
We have one of the oldest tv's in the world...so Terry decided it was time to upgrade to a flat screen thing....but because the cabinet that houses it and the other dvd stuff....we were confined to something less than 30". We found one, it was a pretty good price but needs all sorts of extra cables etc to enable us to hook it up to the laptop so we can watch movies! the other aspect of our tv viewing, is we only have 3 channels....so we usually rent dvds. our local source for movies has closed down....long story short....we bought a new tv. Terry has plugged it in etc, but it seems to be lacking the main outlet needed to hook up to the laptop!!!
I also decided to buy a new chair for my office, i spend a fair bit of time in front of the computer and the old chair ($5.00 at a garage sale many years ago) needed replacing. Staples had a good deal...so now we have a chair to assemble. that'll happen tomorrow. I couldn't pass up on the lovely $5 cook book, in full and beautiful colour.......all various soups! i love soup and i love making soup....and i also love drooling over beautiful images of soup in nice bowls!!!
Groceries were had.....seeds and planting trays were also bought...so all in all a pretty expensive day!
However, to offset that i dropped off some mugs and cups etc to the Gallery up there that carries my work and in return i received a very handsome cheque....so kinda in one hand and out the other! seems like a fair exchange, especially since i get the cheque and Terry gets to pay for the TV!!!
It's now very late and i'm off to bed...oh yes, and we also had to make a detour on our way home, over on the Ferry to the photographer's place - what a difference professional photography of my work makes....i do a pretty good job...but Jim did a much better job, so i'm very happy with the results.
