Dog Days and Life

Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

This is a very rare shot of Cedar relaxing. I did wonder how a liver dog would appear on a brown cover...not too bad.

Cedar has relaxed which has meant that I have managed to get things done albeit with him right next to me. Better still the long suffering Drake has managed to get some sleep. I am just waiting for my turn as I am still suffering from the effects of Cedar's pea sized bladder. Every Thursday after training involves me getting up in the small hours to let him out.....we're all hoping it grows soon.

The day however has been shadowed by the news that we knew was coming since watching lumps suddenly appear over little Hal, he is, as we thought riddled with cancer.

He has been back to the vets for some more antibiotics as that leg holds some infection still. He's comfortable and happy toddling about and has no idea about his health condition. Hopefully he will be able to have some weekends away in the caravan where he is very happy and fit some sunbathing in.

I will try and get some photos of him. You can tell he's feeling better as he hates having his picture taken....got some nice shots of his back. The old devil!!

Even at our birth, death does but stand aside a little. And every day he looks towards us and muses somewhat to himself whether that day or the next he will draw nigh.
