Rosé Pamplemousse

Today was the first of the new season of Rosé Pamplemousse lunches.

basically that is a rather grandiose way of saying I had lunch with the girls and we drank rosé with sirop de pamplemousse (grapefruit cordial). very nice it was too.

I was in charge of dessert. The first strawberries from Carpentras were on the market and I thought they would go rather well with the beverage and, let's face it, you can never go wrong with a chocolate cake.

It's now the holidays......hip hip....
