If music be the food of love
"If you love something, set it free,
If it comes back to you...it is yours......"
So, now that we've all got to know each other, I thought I'd blip and share with you my pride and joy, the true love of my life....my beloved flute....
Although I have had a change of career, music and my flute remain my major passion...even ranking higher than Pick and mix and Scott, so that's saying something!!!!
I have a teaching diploma, bachelor of music performance degree and a masters, and funnily enough am now in hospitality management....lol
My flute has given me great joy....as well as a great deal of frustration...whilst at the conservatoire I practised between 6 - 7 hrs six days a week and I adored every second of it...maybe it also helped that my piano accompanist and partner in crime was the one and only Scott......
My flute teacher was also absolutely gorgeous....lol....
I like to believe that this profession moulded me and gave me a great foundation...
1...I was never ever late for rehearsals or lessons...totally unacceptable
2...second best was never ever an option
3...I learned how team work was important whilst playing in the orchestra
4...I also had to work on my own a large chunk of the time
5...every day had to be structured down to the last second...practise fitting round classes and of course the pub
6...I learnt how to push myself
7...I learnt the true meaning of dedication
8...as I adored my professors my appearance was always immaculate....especially for performance class and concerts
9...I developed a hunger to succeed
10...I did what I loved and I loved what I did
Although I changed careers after being slightly disillusioned with music, I always come back to it...it is my heart beat, my water, my life source.....
It is me........and I love it....x
