Honesty

I live in a very respectable area, but it was still a bit of a surprise to see this on a chair at a tram stop - complete with the finder's phone number. It's not in an 'old' person's handwriting, so it is very nice to see that there are some younger people who are honest and thoughtful in this day and age.

More than I can say for some, people.

My brother is now off the 'critical' list following the horrific assault, and is now classed as 'serious but stable'. Such good news. He's been moved to another ward now, and has managed to recall a few more details about what happened.
The person who did this to him was middle-aged, and my brother didn't recognise him. I really cannot get my head around the fact that someone could do this much damage to a 16 year old, much less someone unknown to them. There's just something wrong with this...
The plot thickens.
So, with Charlie now on the new ward, I went to visit him yesterday, however, he is only allowed one visitor at any given time. His father, who I have never liked (a mutual feeling) refused to leave Charlie for even five minutes so I could see him... Knowing that I traveled over 90 minutes (100mk/60miles) to get there, and would have another 90 minutes to get back home.
Does that seem right to you?
What struck me as even MORE off, was Charlie's father has flat out refused to sign forms for Charlie's medical reports and clothing to be released to forensics to be investigated. After nearly a week, police asked our mother to sign the forms. Charlie's dad hit the roof about that.

I have a great interest in criminal psychology - so much so that if photography weren't my job, I would go back to study criminal psych. I read up on it all the time, and have the same amount of knowledge as someone working in the field - I just don't have the qualifications. From what I have learned, an attack like this is not random. It was not a mugging (Charlie's phone and wallet were not stolen), and people don't get THAT messed up in a mugging. It's targeted. My brother is, for lack of better words, a shithead (I still love him, though), and associates with some even bigger shitheads - but they're all fairly young, and couldn't/wouldn't do something like this to Charlie, as he is the brains AND braun... His attacker was middle aged... As is his father... Who is also far from anything resembling a decent human being...
I think his father knows something.

Or I could just be watching too many crime shows on telly.

I also have to thank everyone for their love filled well-wishes a few days ago when I shared the photo of Charlie. Every single one is very much appreciated, and all the well-wishes seem to be helping Charlie.
