Little Italy

Little Italy is gradually being usurped by Chinatown. Chinatown looks, feels and smells like Asia. Walking through the "Welcome to the historic Little Italy" sign, the first dozen or so souvenir shops are owned by Asians. Then the lined restaurants with outdoor seating have pushy caretakers trying to fill the shoes of the Hollywood Italian mafia stereotype. The experience was phony and the food left much to be desired.
