Stripes

I reckon these colours would make a good scarf. The water is usually a brilliant blue, and the cloudless sky helps. Willows and other deciduous trees on the north bank are at their autumnal best. Bird watchers might spot a bird on the left-hand side.

This is the Waimakariri River, just below the Gorge Bridge. The water level is the lowest I've seen it in a long time. Much further up into the Southern Alps it was low enough for hpx to wade across the other day.
