Rainbow reflection, St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh

St Mary's Cathedral in Edinburgh has a fabulous stained glass window designed by Eduardo Paolozzi. The sun was shining through the glass and creating this pattern on the floor. I love the juxtaposition of the magical pattern on the floor and the banality of the chairs. For me this really sums up what our cathedrals and churches are often like, a potent mixture of awe and ordinariness.
