Lane after Rain

Bought a new camera this week, and this was the 1st serious use, though had to be a bit rushed (tea on table tha knos).

I'm having to use JPEGs because Lightroom 2 doesn't recognize the RAW files. The 1st thing I noticed is there is little detail in the grass - presumably nagressive noise reduction in the shadows is smudging out all detail. I'm waiting for Lightroom 4 upgrade to come in the post, then I'll be back in the comfort zone of RAW.
